Permaculture Diary 2011 a year of permaculture inspiration

Posted by Juliano Riciardi over 2 years ago

A week to an opening all-colour diary, with 80 additional pages of beautiful colour photos and stories from the heart.

This diary celebrates positive sustainability action in Australia and abroad. It features ordinary people who are making a difference by their actions.

This year's Diary includes an historical forward by David Holmgren and articles by Bill Mollison and David Holmgren – the two founders of the Permaculture movement. Also contributions from Robyn Frances, Peter Andrews, Josh Byrne, Earthship and many inspiring adventures in grass roots urban and rural sustainability as well as innovative, low impact approaches to the built environment. This year's Diary has some serious messages but also a lot of fun and surprises.

Since 2009, Juliano in Brazil has built a house for his young family on a tiny budget and started to teach bioconstruction, and Richard Telford and family with new baby have moved into Abdallah House. Jay Schaffer in the US builds tiny houses smaller than some people's wardrobes.

Find out how many uses there can be for 'sand wax' retrieved from the Church or how to use an old toilet to make a beautiful garden feature or construct a garden almost entirely from discarded materials. And of course the famous Recipe of the Year with Carey Priest – another irresistable and healthy bread recipe.
