We are a family living in the heart of Winnipeg. We found a very affordable home, close to the River and many parks. We have discovered Permaculture Principles in the last two years and have converted our grass yard into a growing, edible oasis. We were blessed with an old Apple tree, two Nanking Cherries, a beautiful chestnut tree and many Maples all on a regular city lot. Since we live in the city we face many limitations but are excited to get meat rabbits and continue to learn new skills in conservation. This year we built two hugel beds with old logs that we got from our neighbours. We are excited to continue growing our garden community into unused lots and open spaces.
