About Filipa Simoes

I'm a Graphic Designer, still living in a busy town, but in a slow process of transition to the countryside. It has been a slow process because there’s also a great amount of work to do in big towns in order they become more sustainable and less dependent.

As Joanna Macy said, "the most remarkable feature of this historical moment on Earth is not that we are on the way to destroying the world - we've actually been on the way for quite a while. It is that we are beginning to wake up to a whole new relationship to our world, to ourselves and each other."
So, I personally feel very privileged for this opportunity given to change myself and - through knowledge, creativity, simplicity and elegance - to contribute to the community, helping with better solutions to ease the difficulties we are facing already, and will face in the future to come.

"A human being is a part of a whole, called by us Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."
Albert Einstein
