Here's a bit more about me...

Like many people I've had a real concern and interest in ecology and environmental issues - ever since I was a young boy.

I excelled at Geography, Biology and Horticulture at College and went on to gain the North Shore Horticultural Award and complete a Dip in Hort. Sci. I completed a Permaculture Design Course at Rainbow Valley Farm in 2009 with Darren Doherty, along with Trish Allen and Graeme North. Since then I've been involved with some other related courses. I'm also a trained chef and keen on nutrient dense food.

Permaculture has tied things together for me - it's completed the once elusive loop that I (and a lot of people) have been looking for. I now own my first home and manage my highly productive 1/4 acre urban permaculture farm called Makino Food Forest. I offer tours and various permaculture related courses to the wider community.

While my site provides multiple options for sale and trade, and various community related opportunities, I also offer permaculture consultancy and assistance - while also being an active volunteer with native habitat restoration and permaculture oriented community projects.
