I've worked in the sustainability field since '93, both in mainstream projects, strategies etc (particulaly sustainable building) and grassroots, most of the time in the social enterprise sector.

I've been teaching intro courses since '95 and PDC's since late 2001 (Aranya was a student on the first course I organised, and is a good friend); was a founding member and very active resident of Ecoforest low impact raw food community in Spain (2000-05).

I have lived in community situations for much of the last 20 years.

Each year I normally teach 1 PDC in Spain, with my friends at Cana Dulce (permaculturacanadulce.org) and 1 in the UK. I am also leading a process to establish the Pines Garden (at St Margarets Bay, near Dover, east Kent) as a LAND centre - this involves transforming a 6 acre 40 year old publicly accessible garden, that has been managed organically for over a decade, into a demonstration of permaculture and an outstanding outdoor classroom.

I came across the raw food lifestyle on the PDC I did back in '94, and have been on that path since then - and have written and published Eat More Raw Too, which combines permaculture, design of health-creating lifestyles and eating more raw - the first book to do so, apart from the first edition, Eat More Raw, which was published by Permanent Publications in 2005. As an improved version, Eat More Raw Too, is now out, self-published ... and hopefully in ebook form by the time you read this! Having been vegetarian, vegan, raw vegan (11 years), I have been vegetarian mainly raw (80%) since returning to England in 2005, so my main personal interest is applying permaculture for a health creating, vegetarian-vegan lifestyle.

I am also involved in a group seeking to establish an international Regenerative Leadership Programme, to help permaculturalists be more effective, more powerful pioneers and change makers, individually and collectively.
