About Kana Knox

I’m passionate about the environment and plants and that's why I decided to get involved with permaculture. I love growing, cultivating and propagating seeds and plants. I have just finished my permaculture design course and its as though a fire has been lit within my heart. Permaculture is truly a beautiful philosophy as it works through pure simplicity and I find it to be absolutely awe inspiring.

I’m highly motivated and extremely dedicated. My dream is to be able to contribute to the greater good of our planet and to protect the environment as well as to make a difference.

I’m a people person and very outgoing, as well as being able to learn fast and adapt to any situation. I have a high level of communication skills, I also deal with stress really well and can keep calm during stressful and difficult situations.

I’m not afraid to work hard and I put thought and time into everything that I do. I am keen to accept new challenges and responsibilities.

I have been involved with civil society organizations such as public protests against the pollution caused by Engen Oil Refinery on the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal as well as the Sixteen Days of Activism against Abuse of Women and Children, the Gandhi Salt March and the March for Freedom in Tibet.

I would love to be able to take my permaculture training further and if possible complete my diploma qualification, as I really want to make permacultrue a way of life.
