About alex jackson

Became interested in permaculture 12 years ago through the woof scheme. Volunteered in various places including an nine month stint with a family project just outside Barcelona / Spain. Since then have been working in London and kind of got stuck in the rat race. After starting to see the madness of it all, the breaking down of society, the ongoing monetary collapse etc, etc, etc me and my Italian partner have given up our London life and bought a farmhouse with four acres of land in the hills above pescia, Italy. Our aim is to live simply and in harmony with nature and let the land give us our security through the principles of permaculture. We have many many projects here including restoring 70 olive trees and terraces, restoring the orchard while implementing a forest garden, setting up the zone 1 vegetable garden, the building of an earth bag house to home our compost toilet and solar shower, managing the nut forest, building a chicken house and water collection and irrigation amongst many others. We look forward to making lots of like-minded friends here, share ideas and get a lot of needed advice.
