About Jon jon@barefootegardener.com

I grew up in Dunedin, New Zealand, spending a great deal of time doing outdoor activities and lots of sport, as I got older my interests turned to business where I started and ran my own Web Design business. Later I moved to Sydney, living there for just on 8 years working as an analyst in the corporate environment.

Over the last few years I have found out about, read about and now come to love Permaculture design. In Jan 2012 I completed a PDC taught at Zaytuna farm, NSW Australia (Geoff Lawton).

I have been applying Permy principles in my back yard since 2008 and starting to assist friends and family in developing their properties. I have a genuine dislike for government hypocrisy over climate change and action and have a burning desire to do more than just what I can in my own back yard. I want to spread the word not just about Permaculture but also about the need for people to be more aware of the impending food crisis and what they can do to secure their and their families food security.

Regards

Jon Foote

Occupy the Garden

With all the bad media attention given to the Occupy movement down here. Attention has shifted toward a more positive action basis. I have offered my PDC experience to help that along.
