About Ceci Alderton
I have a background in Environmental Sciences, Ancient Studies and Land Surveying and currently work as a Countryside Ranger for a National Park. I am also a Celebrant and conduct legally-binding Pagan marriages in Scotland.
I'm also a keen gardener and try and grow as much of my own vegetables and fruit as possible. In the last year I have also started to keep hens and bees and to make my own wine and beer, often using ingredients gleaned from the hedgerows.
I did an Introduction to Permaculture course with James Chapman in 2010 and my PDC in Patika, Turkey with Steve Read in May 2011. Since then I have been working on developing my garden along permaculture principles and will be using my knowledge to design other projects notably in school grounds as part of my work as a Countryside Ranger.
