About Sven Horner
I dropped out of school 5 years ago. I came into a crisis, walked through depression, fear, anger, aggression, sorrow and pain and rose like a phoenix again. After an attempt to study electric guitar at the Munich Guitar Institute (MGI), I began a traineeship as gardener for vegetables on a approx. 3 hectare (acre) + 1 hectare (green house) organic market garden in September 2010.
Since August 2010 I started to intensely engage in permaculture. The first book i read was Toby Hemenway's "Gaia's Garden". I was so lucky to incidentally meet the owner of a dump for digging, just next to the market garden i work and learn and further that he is such an open minded person that he allows me to experiment on his 2 hectare ground and supports me with machinery and connections he has.
In permaculture I see the potential to solve so many of the big problems our earth, all living beings and especially humanity are facing and will have to face. When I think of my future with permaculture now, it fills me with a strong feeling of compassion and love.
Im also into the work of the Institute for the Study of Peak States (ISPS) - there is also an Australian offshoot - which seem to have managed to find a working model of our human psyche. And what they do with this model, what they can achieve, what **you** can achieve will at first be unbelievable for almost anybody. Radical healing of the whole human organism, the whole body, heart, mind and soul complex.. of the deepest pain. The work is still in progress. It will take years.. but its already of measureless worth. http://www.peakstates.com

Miniature worm tower in the pot of my houseplant.
This winter I couldn't wait to try it out (wormtower) and I loved the idea of this miniature nearly-a-ecosystem. See photos.
