About Tomas Remiarz

PDC: March 1995, Worcester College of Agriculture, Patrick Whitefield
Diploma: July 1997, Coldstream, Nancy Woodhead, Graham Bell

Diploma tutor profile: http://permaculture.org.uk/user/tomas-remiarz/diploma-tutor-profile

I have over 15 years experience in permaculture design and practice, having worked in the UK and various European countries. Over the years, I have been active in many different fields, with an emphasis on the restoration of land, buildings and communities. I spent 6 years as project manager of Treesponsibility, a reforestation group in the Pennines, and have helped to run and set up a number of cooperative housing and land projects. From 2006 to 2011 I torued the UK and Europe, advising and supporting permaculture practitioners.

At the beginning of 2012, I moved into Wheatstone House, a co-housing project in the Welsh borders. We are planning to restore the 100 year old buildings and turn them into a showcase of ecological living. The business plan involves producing and processign food, fuel wood and tiomber, running courses and events.
I have been a trustee of the Permaculture Association since 2006 and a member of its research working group since 2009.
