My husband, Curt, and I have been married 28 years. We spent the first 22 chasing the "American Dream." We attained it and realized that we were not happy with it. We have spent the last 6 years trying to find where our happiness lies. We first planted a garden at our home. We then converted our front lawn to growing food and starting a garden at our church to provide organic vegetables to the customers at the food bank located in our church.

When we saw the ad for a permaculture class we jumped at it. We have been thoroughly converted. We have embraced the permaculture ideals. We are now trying to convert our church family to the join us on our adventure. We have created a design for the remainder of the vacant lot which will incorporate an area as a community meeting place and a place of abundancy for both people and wildlife.
