I currently work in Information Technology and live in one of the most unsustainable cities in the world: Los Angeles. Although I have experience as a gardener, my way of life right now is much like most Westerns. I am a cog in the wheel rolling towards ecological catastrophe.

Top scientists estimate that at current depletion rates, the Earth has about 60 years of top soil left. This among many other environmental issues concern me greatly.

It's time for serious change in my life and I cannot stand by and continue to be part of a system bound for failure especially when I am aware of something as powerful as permaculture.
