About Christopher Paul Ripley

After finishing my PDC with Steve Charter at Eco Forest 2004 (raw food community project in Andalucia Spain) I started looking for a small farm to start to experiment with different permaculture tecniques. I found a one hectar farm in central Portugal with a stream running through it. I have built a strawbale house where our daughter was born.

I had been developing a forest garden that was growing very well. Last year there was a fire that burnt everything except the house and now I am replanting the fruit trees as well as making new terraces behind the house where there is a hill.

Me and my family will be moving to a beautiful new farm where we will teach the PDC in Portuguese.

I have finished my permaculture diploma with Lesley Martin through the UK Permaculture Association and will give my first PDC at our farm in the last two weeks of July.

My wife and have have created a permaculture association in Portugal to help us spread the word about permaculture.
